Day Six: Young Cora

 Young Cora "The Miller's Daughter"

Will be created by:

Samantha Danson of Halo Repaints

The miller's daughter, Cora, delivers flour to the palace when a young woman trips her, causing her to spill the flour. The king refuses to pay for the flour and orders Cora to beg forgiveness on her knees.

That night, Cora sneaks into a masked ball held for the king's son, Prince Henry.  Cora boasts that she can turn straw to gold when she is recognized by the king as the miller's daughter. She is locked in a tower and if she spins the gold she will marry the prince.

Rumpelstiltskin strikes a contract with Cora and teaches her how to spin the straw into gold herself. But Cora and Rumpelstiltskin fall in love and he teaches her how to take a heart. Instead of running away with Rumpelstiltskin, she removes her own heart and places in a box claiming "love is weakness" and she marries Prince Henry.

Young Cora gets the power she craves and gives birth to a princess who will one day be queen.

Young Cora's story is based on the Brothers Grimm fairy-tale, Rumpelstiltskin and Cora is portrayed by the vivacious Rose McGowan.
